Well, you might say we have come again and indeed, we have come again.
Since last year I have been getting series of Direct Messages from a particular twitter handle (@bukkieq1) calling my attention to a young Nigerian who is down with kidney failure. I responded but didn’t get the real gist of what exactly was expected of me. Some days ago, same handle sent me new messages with the same contents but this time around, there was more urgency contained. It said: “Adenuga Aderemilekun Oduntan, 33 years old computer science graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University (A chronic renal failure patient). He resides at No 8, Sanni street, Ogudu, Ojota Lagos.”
I decided to do a background check & also a confirmation research on the subject with the help of my very illustrious brother and friend Gbenga Osowe (@GbengaOsowe). He actually was the one who carried out the confirmation research to ascertain the subject’s present condition as I’m presently out of Lagos.
He visited the above address and came back with the needed report. It was true, Adenuga Aderemilekun Oduntan truly needs our help to survive as he has been living on dialysis which costs him a N100, 000 every two weeks. He has since been referred by his doctor to be flown abroad for a transplant which is up to the tune of N6.8 million. Not a small amount of money if you ask me but not too much if we all put our hands together to save this promising Nigerian.
